instructions to filter spam in Outlook Express? Here it is!
1)
Open Outlook Express
2) Click on Tools
3) Select Message Rules
4) Click on Mail
a) Conditions for your rule = Check Where the
from line contains people
b) Action for your rule = Check Stop processing
more rules
c) Rule description = Click 'contains people'
Click Address Book and add
everyone in your address book and click
OK and click OK again...
d) Name of the Rule = "Friend Filter"
5) Click OK
6) Click New
a) Conditions for your rule = Check Where the
subject line contains specific
words
b) Action for your rule = Check Delete it
c) Rule description = Click 'contains specific
words'
Type in (one at a time and
clicking add) the following words:
remove, removed, subscribe,
subscribed, unsubscribe,
unsubscribed, receive, received
, sex, money, $, %, free, mailing, guaranteed
NOTE: Add any additional words commonly found
in the junk mail you are receiving.
d) Name of the Rule = "Junk Filter”
7) Click OK until you are back to Outlook Express.
